I have developed a fascination and passion for watching the boats and fishermen I see in Sri Lanka. Colour, energy, light, sweat, work - a raw and pure way of living, a skill handed down since the beginning of time. The water, light and their craft are source of inspiration for me.
These graceful monks were gliding along one of the ramparts in Galle Fort, Sri Lanka whilst I was meandering through one of the lower streets. They took my breath away.
Colour in the wind
I saw the robes on this monk rising high like sails in the wind from 100m away - I grabbed my camera and ran as fast as I could to get as close to that colour as possible before he flew away

Mists of Time
The fog and mist on one particular day in January 2017 created this incredible ethereal light, it bathed everything I saw in this unforgettable vintage glow.
